The process of claim 1, further comprising the step of adding Water, steam, or a mixture thereof into the ?rst distil lationcolumn. 4. The process of claim 1, further comprising the step of introducing at least a portion of the aqueous phase into a fermentationvessel. 5. The process of claims 1, Wherein the process further comprisesthestepofintroducingthebottomsstreamfromthe ?rst distillation column into a fermentation vessel. 6. The process of claim 1, Wherein the process further comprisesthestepofseparatingthebottomsstreamfromthe ?rst distillation column to obtain a bottoms aqueous phase comprisingWaterandabottomsorganicphasecomprisingthe extractant, introducing at least a portion of the bottoms organicphaseintoafermentationvessel,andoptionallyintro ducing at least a portion of the bottoms aqueous phase into a fermentationvessel. 7. The process of claim 1, Wherein a non-condensable gas is present in the feed and the process further comprises the stepofpurgingatleastaportionofthegasphasecomprising the non-condensable gas from the process. 8.Theprocessofclaim1,Whereinthenon-condensablegas comprisescarbondioxide. 9. The process of claim 1, Wherein the feed comprises an organic phase obtained from an extractive fermentation. 10. The process of claim 1, Wherein the butanol concentra tion in the feed is from about 0.1 Weight percent to about 40 Weightpercent,basedontheWeightofthefeed. 11. The process of claim 1, Wherein the butanol is not a mixture of 1-butanol and isobutanol. 12. The process of claim 11, Wherein the butanol consists essentiallyofisobutanol. 13. The process of claim 4, Wherein the extractant com prises at least one solvent selected from the group consisting ofC7toC22fattyalcohols,C7toC22fattyacids,estersofC7 to C22 fatty acids, C7 to C22 fatty aldehydes, and mixtures thereof. 14. The process of claim 13, Wherein the extractant com prisesoleylalcohol. 15.
