A statistical analysis was performed in order to compare the root mean square (RMS), arithmetic mean, and maximum error for each model when compared with Rotor 1-B and Stage 35 experimental results. The error analysis in this project did not attempt to account for the error in the experimental data, only the difference between the experimental and predicted values. For this analysis, the errors were defined as follows: (UURU = [ − \ ∑ [ − \ (4.1) (4.2) (4.3) = = (UURU [∑([ − \) ] 0,3 1 (UURU #$ 1 In Equations 4.1 to 4.3, x represents the experimental data and y represents the predicted values. The subscript i represents an individual data point and N is the number of data points in the analysis. The maximum error between experimental and predicted values was also calculated.
