(2007) investigated the feasibility of enhancing the performance of a 100kWE micro-gas turbine with a bottoming ORC by examining the performance of sixteen different organic fluids. Thermodynamic analysis showed that the combined configuration can increase the net electric power output by 33.3% which was equal to 40% increase in the electrical efficiency when using MM (hexamethyldisiloxane) as the working fluid. Munoz de Escalona et al. (2012) analysed the rated and part-load performance of five commercial gas turbines (whether intercooled or recuperated) with a bottoming ORC system using eight organic fluids including MM, R245fa, isopentane and toluene.
