For simple elec- trochemical systems, the graphical inspection allows identification of the physicochemical processes occurring in the system and estimation of e.g. the series and charge transfer resistances. The major drawback of Nyquist plots is that the frequency information is lost. This can be rectified by adding annotations to the Nyquist plot to visualise the start of each frequency decade, or as done more frequently, by including Bode plots, which present log(|Z|) and φ against log(f). The Bode plots for the impedance shown in Figure 3.10 are presented in Figure 3.11.
