Geometric Data Jordan Solar Radiation Solar Radiation values in Jordan is one of the highest values worldwide, with a yearly radiation average of 2080 kWh/m2, and more than 300 sunny days per year. Having an average daily radiation of 5.7 kWh/m2 and 8 hours of sun. In general June and July are the months with the most sun hours (almost 12 hours) and the highest radiation values of around 8.2 kWh/m2. December and January have the least sun activity, almost 5 hours of sun per day and the daily radiation as low as 2.9 kWh/m2. If the angle at which the equipment is receiving radiation (inclination angle) is being controlled and optimized to receive the radiation perpendicularly throughout the year, that is an inclination angle variation between 10° and 60°. The yearly radiation increases and could reach as high as 2419 kWh/m2. In Jordan, the most economical and effective angle at which a PV system is installed to receive the most radiation possible is 30°, and the yearly radiation measures at 2330 kWh/m2. [5] [6] [7]. Jordan Weather Jordan experiences the four seasons fully, from dry and hot summer days. On rainy and wet days. On Ice-cold and windy days and sometimes two meters high snow and frost. July is the hottest month in Amman with an average temperature of 25°C (77°F) and the coldest is January with an average temperature of 8°C (46°F).
