Characterization of Uncertainties One of the distinguishing features of this modeling effort is a probabilistic capability that allows model inputs to be represented by probability distributions rather than single deterministic values. Uncertainties in these parameters reflect the ranges of values reported in the literature, the evolving nature of the technology, and practical considerations in running such plants. Table 4 lists the uncertainty distributions developed for performance model parameters based on the current literature on amine-based (MEA) systems.
