Liquid enters and leaves the rotor surface without accumulation, while the contacted vapour enters the bed from the periphery, flow rapidly inwards, and leaves at the centre of rotor, which makes the RPB widely used for applications in gas-liquid separation with continuous insertion flow. Besides the counter-current RPB, there are other kinds of flow contact in the design of the RPB, co-current (Figure 12) and cross-current (Figure 13). Figure 11.
