Optimisation of the parameters is trivial with a SDR; the hold-up is small so that, depending on the property of the product being analysed and the analytical technique, individual experimental settings can be examined at the rate of several per experimental hour. Thus, a comparison of the GPC for the products from the two processes (Figure 7) was taken as an indication of the similarity of the products. It should be noted that this comparison involves a well established technical batch process which has been optimised. Figure 7.
