CSS was determined when the oxygen purity, recovery, and BSF were within 0.5% for at least 15 cycles. Simulated and experimental values for two cases (Cycles #3 and #10 of the pressure drop study) are summarized in Table 6.3. The simulator provides process performance parameters comparable to experimental results. Simulated concentration and loading profiles are therefore considered reasonable approximations of experimental profiles. Figure 6.9 compares the gas composition against column length at the end of the high pressure production step.
