Chapter 7 Conclusions and Future Research Directions Pressure swing adsorption systems offers great flexibility at both design and op- erational stages, requiring careful selection of important decision variables. On the other hand, due to its inherent nonlinear nature and discontinuous operation, both design and control of PSA, especially incorporating the operational aspects, is a challenging task.
