Time effect with H2O added as co-solvent The time change effect on WRP is investigated in this part through analysis of WRP data when 7 mole% of water is added as co-solvent. The time increase effect is studied at two levels, namely 3 and 6 hours. The studies will be divided into three groups based on the three pressure levels. a) Time effect on WRP with 7 mole % H2O added at 2000 psi The result is shown in Figure 16 blow. The three WRP lines demonstrate steady trends at the three temperature levels when time is increased from 3 hours to 6 hours for PCB dissolution in SCF CO2 at 2000 psi, with 7 mole % of water is added as environmentally benign co-solvent to enhance the interactions between PCB resins and SCF CO2. The data shows that time increase from 3 hours to 6 hours induce very small increases in averaged WRP data. Consider experimental errors in both operations and measurements, we can conclude that time increase from 3 hours to 6 hours at 2000 psi induces no increase in WRP even when 7 mole % of water is added. b) Time effect on WRP with 7 mole % H2O added at 4000 psi The result is shown in Figure 17 below. The figure demonstrates a small increase trend at 250 C and steady WRP trends at the other two temperature levels.
