Heating Season Performance Factor (HSPF) Weighted Test • 47 degrees F • 17 degrees F Heating Season Performance Factor (HSPF): • HSPF is the heat pump equivalent of AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) for a gas furnace. • Measured in same units as SEER (Btu per Watt-hour) • Weighted test - probably underestimates CA performance on heating; running at 47 and up and rarely at 17F.
