This run was made at 70°C fuel cell temperature and 1.0 M methanol concentration at anode and nitrogen gas at cathode In LSV test, fixed potential ranges are set during the test. These ranges know as upper and lower limits where the scan starts from the lower limits of voltage toward the upper limits. The working electrode is placed at the cathode where oxidation of methanol is taking place and the counter electrode is place at the anode to close the current circuit in the fuel cell. The potential of the fuel cell (cathode) is swept by the linear potential scan voltage at which any methanol fuel present at cathode is immediately oxidized due to the mass transfer limited conditions. The scan starts from left toward the right at specified scan rate (v/sec). In this research, the methanol crossover test was carried out by passing nitrogen gas (inert) at the cathode instead of oxygen and 1.0 M methanol fuel at the anode as a baseline for this work. The start potential voltage of LSV was 0 and the upper limit was 1.0 volt. The scan rate for each MEA in DMFC fuel cell was 50mv/sec.
