The test was made at 70°C and 1.0 M methanol concentration by LSV. The highest methanol crossover was belonging to the standard MEA. Using 1.0 wt% of SULFO- MOR reduces the methanol crossover around 15% when comparing with standards, yet it dropped the power density of the fuel cell. The three MEAs showed different power density, methanol crossover and proton conductivities. The SULFO-MOR MEA showed the higher power density (92 mW/cm2) among all the three MEAs. The conductivity accounted to the standard MEA whereas the F-MOR MEA showed the lowest methanol crossover. On the other hand, the methanol crossover of the SULFO-MOR MEA 0.5 wt% was bit higher. The high percentage of inorganic filler decreased the methanol crossover and increases the proton resistivity in the fuel cell. These values were summarized in one graphed.
