Her relevant specifications were estimated from information on a dedicated website31 and given in Table 3.2. The route studied was an actual voyage from Tanjung Pelepas, Malaysia to Port Said, Egypt with characteristics shown in Table 3.3. The distance and time were obtained from marinetraffic.com and average speed was calculated. Average shaft power and energy used were obtained using Equation 3.2 and Equation 3.3, respectively.
