Blade airfoil cooling heat transfer intensifiers At the first step, the cooling system development involved available engineering codes for aerodynamics and heat transfer computer simulation. The 3D blade model was used for its hydraulic analysis in Ansys CFX including the pressure and temperature calculation in specific points and stations. Figure 5(a) shows the hydraulic calculation results for the first vane cooling system. The calculation gives the hydraulic resistance and heat transfer coefficients of the vane cooling channels that are used for further computer simulation of the vane temperature distribution.
