a) Pressure effect with 3 hour treatment The data is acquired by averaging five WRP data on the five PCB specimens at each test. The data are used to evaluate the treatment effect of SCF CO2 on PCB specimen when pressure increases from 2000 psi to 4000 psi and to 6000 psi with temperature set at three levels and time given for 3 hours. The result is shown in Figure 5. The figure demonstrates a small increase of WRP tendency when pressure is heavily increased from 2000 psi to 6000 psi with 3 hours given for PCB dissolutions. The data shows that a 2000 psi increase of pressure at the three temperature levels can only induce a very small increase of WRP at 150 C and 200 C when time is given for 3 hours, while a 4000 psi increase of pressure can induce more in WRP increase at these two temperature levels. The pressure increase effect on WRP is more significant at 250 C temperature level while the number is still small when considering experimental errors. b) Pressure effect with 6 hour treatment The data are collected for three pressure levels at 2000, 4000, and 6000 psi, respectively, when the temperature is set at three levels while time is given at 6 hours. The averaged WRP with 6 hour dissolution time is shown in figure 6. The three WRP lines also demonstrate a slight WRP increase tendency with pressure increased from 2000 psi to 4000 psi and to 6000 psi when the time is set at 6 hours for PCBs and SCF CO2 interactions.
